COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions about the process
Do I need a developer to act on recommendations?
Not for most fixes. Adding Organisation schema, improving product descriptions, setting brand fields — all can be done directly in Shopify admin. Some fixes like intricate custom JSON-LD may need developer help. GEOptimisation flags which type each recommendation requires.
How long does an audit take?
Most audits complete in under two minutes. Larger stores with hundreds of products may take slightly longer, but the audit runs in the background.
Will the audit slow down my store or affect customers?
No. GEOptimisation reads your store data via the Shopify API — it doesn’t interact with your storefront. Your store runs normally throughout.
How often should I re-audit?
We recommend re-auditing after any significant store change — new products, theme updates, app installs. A weekly audit is a good baseline.
